Reaching, Growing, Sharing

Prayer

We are encouraged again and again, in the Bible, to come to God in prayer.  Jesus values prayer so much that he teaches us about it in his Sermon on the Mount.  He tells us that this is how we should pray.

“Our Father who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.”

At Crossroads, we pray during every service and believe that regular, daily prayer strengthens our relationship with God.  The Lord’s prayer can be prayed every day and can be prayed when you just don’t know what else to do.  Talking with God is a good first step to solving any problem.
